Game Play

This Airsoft game will be using a unique rule set, unlike conventional rules used in regular Airsoft games. It is very important for everyone to read the rules and understand them fully before the game! Even those who have attended other Zombie games should read the rules and make note of the changes. With new ideas, come new questions, so I encourage everyone to read the rules carefully and ask ALL the questions you have. If you are confused about something, chances are someone else is too and we will do our best to fix confusion.
This game will be using "No Mercy".
With No Mercy, we are adding in a stronger 'traditional airsofting' theme, putting even more emphasis on player vs. player situations. The game will feature two or more factions with a set of objectives they must complete to win the game. Unfortunately not much more detail can be gone into without ruining elements of the game, but it can be said that a player will have more than just zombies to worry about!

Players (Survivors) will be divided into teams of 10-20 to start off the game. (what happens after that, is up to them...)

FPS Restriction: 395 fps single shot.
BB Bastard Ammunition will be provided to ALL players (free of charge). Players are instructed NOT to bring ammo to the game. Players will have to provide their own BB loaders and propane if their weapon requires it.

Groups

Survivors: (Open to all, tell your friends. The more the Better, for you... to SURVIVE...)

As a survivor you are challenge to survive when all the odds are against you. Only equipped with a flashlight, red glow stick, pistol or shotgun (with only 20 rounds starting) it is up to you to find more, how you find more is up to you. You are a survivor, abandoned by your government, left to die. You have no set rules to follow.
You will be place in a chaos filled environment with buildings, vehicles, Zombies, smoke, strobe lights and more...
Groups of 10-15 will be picked at random (to aid in the chaos) and transport out to the field to start the game.

Zombies:
As a Zombie your job is to increase your numbers by infecting the survivors, ambush them, trap them, over power them with your shear numbers. where a survivor can go you can go with out restrictions.

Hybrid Zombies:
Unknown
_______________________________________________________________________

Player Kit Restrictions
Weapons:
Survivors: Pistols, shotguns, springer and Melee Weapons only. Nothing capable of fully automatic permitted.

Kit:
Survivors: No military gear. Your attire should consist of standard clothing. Use your imagination here!

Feel free to ask us if you have a gun that doesn’t fit into our classifications and we will make a case-by-case ruling on it. Same applies for Kit Restrictions.
Note: Flashlights are a good idea for players to carry. If you bring a light that we feel is too bright for the game, we will hold on to it for the duration of the game and return it at the end. This is a safety issue and no exceptions will be made.

Alliances and How They Work.

This applies to the alliances whose status is ALIVE. Although technically it could apply to the undead as well.

The Alliances are your core "teams" (later referred to as Alliances) in the game. Each Alliance has their own set of objectives and their own RESPAWN point. These objectives may put them in direct conflict with another team, or may be completely independent from all other players in the game.

At the beginning of the game, each Alliance will start with a set number of members. As the game progresses, it is up to the Alliances to find and recruit survivors (the core player base) to join their cause. It is up to the survivors to make their own choice as to which Alliance they join. Will this Alliance be able to offer security? Will they be able to help you with your own personal objectives? These are some of the questions the survivors must ask themselves when approached by an Alliance. Throughout the game, survivors may feel that the Alliance they chose to join is not able to meet their personal needs and may go find a new Alliance to join. Watch out though, some people don’t like deserters

There will be no distinction amongst survivors to tell which Alliance they are a part of. This will only add to the confusion and chaos of the game. It is up to the survivor to remember who they currently belong to. Leaving an Alliance is as simple as making that decision in your mind, or by joining a new Alliance. You can not change Alliances if you are DOWN. (Explained later) Also, a survivor may only be a part of one Alliance at a time.

As previously stated, each Alliance will have its own set of objectives and as the survivors join an alliance, those objectives become the survivor’s objectives as well. If the Alliance completes their over all objectives, every survivor (still alive) with that Alliance gets the points as well. If you leave an Alliance, you will not get credit for the objectives completed by that Alliance.

Each Alliance will have their own 'base', where they stash any supplies they have found throughout the game. (Be it part of an objective or not). This base also acts as the Alliances RESPAWN point. Respawning will be explained further on (but really isn’t much different from standard airsoft rules).
________________________________________________________________________

Special Characters and Character Cards
Each survivor will receive a Character Card. This is a simple system devised to make every player on the field unique. These cards will be handed out to each player before the game and gives a brief description of who they were and what they want to accomplish during the game. If the player accomplished these objectives, they are awarded extra points at the end of the game. These points will be turned in for raffle tickets, 10 points for 1 ticket.

How to Kill a Zombie 101
We've all seen at least a couple zombie movies, right? Maybe even played a video game or two. While every director and story writer has their own version of what a zombie is and how it came to be, there is one thing that is common amongst all of them: To kill a zombie, you must cause severe trauma to their head. Unfortunately for us airsofters, this can be a pretty big safety problem and as such, we are changing the rules a bit.

To kill a zombie in our game, you must shoot them in their upper body, chest or back. Do NOT shoot them in the head, or anywhere else that might be painful.

Rumor has it that if you shoot a zombie in the head, they become filled with rage and show signs of increased physical stamina and speed.
Seriously though, please do not aim for painful parts. Zombies are slow, and don’t have weapons. Take an extra second to shoot em in the chest, because if you miss, they will keep coming.
Players found to be targeting zombies in the head on a regular basis will be immediately ejected from the game with no refunds. This is a serious matter and we will not be giving out warnings.

***RULE***
If you manage to shoot a zombie in the designated area, the zombie will fall down dramatically, BUT IS STILL A THREAT. A zombie that has been shot must count to 30 before they can stand back up and continue shambling, but during that count to 30 they may crawl around and can still kill a human. So be careful, just because you shot the zombie doesn’t mean that zombie isn’t lethal!

How to Kill a Hybrid Zombie
We have introduced a new, extremely lethal type of zombie: The Hybrid Zombie. These zombies are intelligent and efficient killers, striking fear into the hearts of the most hardened zombie-slaying warriors. While it is still unknown exactly how to kill a hybrid, much has been learned on evading them.

What we know:
Hybrids are fast.
They hunt in packs and tend to ambush small groups or lone wanderers.
They have shown signs of the ability to communicate.
They avoid light at all costs
Flash lights don’t produce enough light on their own to noticeably affect them
A well placed bullet will bring one to its knees. Exact location on the Hybrid is unknown, but it has been witnessed to have happened.
________________________________________________________________________

How to Kill a Human 101
this is a bit easier. There are two ways to kill a mortal in this game.

As a Zombie:
A good two hand grab will kill a human and turn them into a zombie. If you only got one hand on em and they break away, they’re lucky! However, if a zombie is able to grab a human player with both hands, be it clothing or otherwise, that human must report to the Admin tent to become zombified.
THIS IS A MUST; for safety, keeping track of players and for scoring.

As a Human:
Why would you shoot another human in a survival game? Easy, to take their stuff and prolong your personal survival! To do so, shoot them. Anywhere will do. Hand, chest, ankle, where ever, just not in the head if possible!

*** IMPORTANT ***
As previously mentioned, this airsoft game involves physical contact, and a fair amount of it! So as long as everyone plays in a respectful manner, there should be no issues with injuries. However, like any other full contact sport, there is the possibility of injury as the game is at night, in a forest, with physical contact. Waivers will be present at the game for players to formally acknowledge that they understand the risks associated with this game

***RULE***
After having any appendage shot , a human is considered DOWN (not dead). When a human is DOWN they can perform any actions that they could normally do while alive, except they may only crawl, if shot in the leg. It is up to another alive players to help carry a DOWNED human to safety and back to their Alliances' RESPAWN point. Upon reaching the RESPAWN point, you may walk again and continue the game as normal. This is a more less standard airsoft rule, except for the respawning part.
If a player is not part of an Alliance, they will respawn at the city in any building, by touching it.

HOWEVER, if your comrades decide that carrying you is too risky considering your current situation, or they’re all DOWN as well, you are all in a world of trouble. You probably have a long distance to crawl, and you’re easy for zombies to get! So make sure you have some reliable friends with you at all times!

***RULE***
We introduce a new set of rules to govern Human Vs Human contact.

For No Mercy, we will be using what many of you have come to know as the "Real Hits" system.
If you are shot in an arm, that arm is now disabled. If that’s your gun carrying arm, switch the rifle to the other arm.
If you are shot in both arms... sling your rifle.
If you are shot in a leg, you’re limping
If you are shot in both legs, you’re crawling
If you’re shot in both arms and both legs you’re fucked! ... But not dead!
If you are shot in the Chest, Stomach, Back, or Head (by mistake), you are DEAD. Proceed to respawn
If you have been shot in an appendage, you may return to respawn as a LIVE player to heal your wounds. But be aware that on your trek back, you may be shot, or worse, attacked by a zombie. Zombies LOVE wounded humans...

If you are dead and proceeding to respawn, keep your flashlight on at ALL times, throw on a kill rag, call yourself hit, and walk back. If you’re not clearly indicating that you’re hit, you might find a hybrid zombie taking you down!
(Red glow sticks highly recommended)
________________________________________________________________________

Objectives, Points, and what that means to YOU
If you’ve made it this far, you’ve read that there are more objectives than you could keep up with and that you get points for completing them. This game works in a different manner from your standard airsoft game. There is no winning team and losing team. It is entirely possible for every team to “win”. Players are competing against each other and against themselves, and as such points are awarded on a case by case basis.

Points translate into Raffle Tickets at the end of the game. The more points you have earned through completing objectives, the more raffle tickets you will be awarded at the end of the game. The more raffle tickets you have, the better chance you have of winning prizes!

Glad to see you took the suggestion on the melee zombie kills. I think it will give the zombie killing satisfaction to zombie hunters. Real hit rules look awesome as well!

Hey just a clarification for me .... it does say that shooting someone anywhere will allow you to rob them, but how ?? If they still have one arm they can shoot, can't they ?

if you shoot them just in the arm, then yes they can shoot back. you will have to be quick or in a group.

Quote:Robbing or stealing items from a player
To take items from a player they will have to be wounded by being shot or meleed. Touch the players for 10 second and tell them you are robbing them.
PERSONAL KIT OR GEAR CAN NOT BE TAKEN only game items can be taken ie:
- flashlights,
- Bio-Hazard money,
- BBs (if loaded into a gun or magazines, have the owner unload them) and
- Items of interest found on the field, including some weapons.
