reusing BB's
can you reuse BB's? I have one of the target systems with the mesh.

RE: reusing BB's
Would never recommend it. If the BB deforms slightly, picks up dirt or any number of other things, it could do damage to your inner barrel or hop-up that will cause irregularities in your gun.

A bag of 2000 is $10. Not like it costs a lot to play it safe.

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

RE: reusing BB's
I have to agree With Lymbo, a bag of bb's is $10-20 a new inner barrel is 30+ if you fuck it up with dirt or possible serrated edges of a misshapen bb

You can safely reuse BB Bastard Clears if you wash them before reuse.

RE: reusing BB's
Any of the clear BB's really since they are made from silica (glass) instead of styrene or whatnot.

Years ago I reused the same bag of BB's at least 10-15 times shooting in my parents basement. It was a TM BOYS series so only shot ~150fps.

Once you get up in the velocity the BB's can start to deform from both the nozzle hitting it when fired and from hitting the back stop of the target. If a sufficiently deformed BB goes just right into your hopup unit it can tear your rubber or even break the hopup unit if its plastic. You could also end up with a BB jammed in the barrel which, if its brass or aluminum, could put marks on the inside of it that will throw your accuracy out the window.

You could also load a BB that has a crack in it without realizing and when it fires it may split. The shards could possibly cut your hopup rubber though the chances of that happening are quite low.

i don't think i will take the chance. I bought black 6mm .2 bb's from Cyber gun. they were not expensive so I won't risk it.

RE: reusing BB's
Running cheap BB's (I have been out of the loop so don't know about any brands that have come out in the past 2 years) can also be an issue. Sometimes they will have seams from moulding that can cut your hopup unit and throw off your accuracy.

Whenever I bought a new brand I would dump an entire bag onto a baking sheet (with a rim!) and roll them around with my hand looking for casting flaws or bad BB's.
