No. It doesn't at least what I can see from the lz website.

I want to get this back on the helpful side so if your not going to help or provide solid advice please refrain from posting.

Right thanks. Anyways, I'll just talk to LZ field owner, just to get this all sorted out. LUTNIT DID say it's $10, so I'll see if he is correct.

Here is a link to the LZ for group bookings: http://www.lzottawa.ca/wpress/?p=672
and price list: http://www.lzottawa.ca/wpress/?page_id=422

Keep in mind Lutnit has had little to do with the Airsoft community in recent years and SOME of his info is outdated.

Thats the LZs feild fee when they are hosting their own games, you will have to ask TC what cut he wants or what fee he wants for the use of the feild, if he even has a hole in his hosting schedule. I'm sure he might have one or two, but I would also assume he wont want to be at the feild every weekend either. I do know he also does private events, when these take place I dont know either, same goes for Petawawa airsoft.

Now we have all said our opinions on the matter, so I wont argue too much into that. but I would say not to expect to host more than maby 2 or 3 games in a year, and not to expect what your thinking of getting money wise, get in contact with the LZ, Petawawa Airsoft, and Combat 307. see what their policies are on feild renting. base your numbers off that, do some research.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up Durak. Also, the MOST important thing is not operate at a loss to the club. As long as the club generates enough revenue to cover the cost to subsidize the students going to games, I COULD subsidize them with around $1100 from CUSA added to the club balance each year, which is fair imo. Either way, gotta talk to the field owners first, and I can tweak the plan from there. By no means is my "masterplan" as critter kindly put it, inflexible. But either way, the club shouldn't operate at a loss or we might as well just not have a club, get everybody on campus to pay their own normal fees, buy their own shit, and just generally be useless.

CUSA has airsoft insurance? It's not general liability insurance (which I agree CUSA would have). It's very specific, and only certain insurance companies will even insure airsoft fields / events. I would be extremely skeptical at CUSA already carrying airsoft insurance, even as a rider on a general policy.

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

Airsoft insurance? Hmm, I'll look into that, thanks for the heads up.

Wonder how many game have you host? and how much money you have in your pocket ?
what i see is if you want to start an airsoft club in university and make people to listen to you, i think you yourself first, must have at least two or three nice looking guns and shit load of gear to show people to make them interested in airsoft , then i think you will either have a lot of airsoft experience with both hosting and playing ,so people will obey you, or you either have shit load of money to make people listen to you.

If you need info PM me and I'll give you the company I use.
Only found 2 companies that would cover airsoft in Ontario.
Its not cheap, I pay almost $300 a month for insurance.

RE: Carleton University Airsoft Club
I know of a place that sells a KA M4 for 340~ It's not hard to find, I found the site before I was AVed anywhere, though that price just recently came up in the last few months, probably september/november. He's even a vendor on ASC. Tongue No need to assume anything more sinister. So far it looks like Cifyra has done a lot of preliminary research.

If you're dead set on spending money out of pocket to kit a small team for skirmish, I think you'll have to make more compromises. Also consider 2 midcaps and 1 highcap to start for each gun, skirmish is hard on ammo, and having to reload a highcap in the middle of the action is pretty crappy. As much as the hardcore guys hate them, I think they'll be beneficial to creating a fun atmosphere to start. People are going to want to just shoot each other. And if people don't like them, m4 mags are cheap.

You also need to consider a high turnover rate of interested people. There's always groups of varying interest and commitment levels to any club. From casual to hardcore or just guys who want to try it. So expect a lot of people to come and go and don't forget to factor that into your equation into your club profitability.
