Upgrade and install Help
Hello,

I know this seems like a simple question to most of you but I want to make sure i have no problems with my gun until I understand the interior and or get my second gun. Right now I have a Classic Army M15A RIS. I have gamed it a few games and have no problems but I would like to upgrade the interior including a longer inner barrel as i do have a silencer for looks and would like to make the gun more accurate.

My question is what parts would I need and or recommended for the interior? Also to have a gun doc do the upgrade and show me the parts what is the cost?

Please help

RE: Upgrade and install Help
Well Chris, generally unless your looking for something specific you shouldn't mess with your internals too much. However if your looking for a basic upgrade package a upgraded non-liner spring is a good choice along with metal bushings (if they are not already, depending on your CA it may already be metal).

If your looking for a spring and bushing upgrade your looking around $35ish in parts plus whatever labour the gun doc wants to charge.

If you want to learn how to do your own work, http://www.mechbox.com/ is a very useful site that I used when I first started.

depending on what kindof barrel you want, it can vary from 40-100$

hopups also play in accuracy. those range from 20-40$ with rubbers ranging from 6-15$

for a mid priced avrage upgrade your looking at 40$ for a barrel, and 8$ for a rubber.

for the best of the best, your looking at 75$ for a barrel 8$ for a rubber, and 35$ for a hopup.

id recomend a madbull python or a systema brass barrel. m4 length is usually around 353mm and m16 length is 509mm. and a gaurder clear rubber.

If you are going to change your barrel length, change your cylinder to match it.

I'd get an airseal nozzle while your at it.

if your changing the nozzle, then its recomended you change the cylinder head to the same brand as the nozzle as well, if your changing the cylinder head, change the cylender, if your changing the cylinder change the piston head. its best to keep all the air compression parts the same brand, they are meant to work together and usually you wont have any compatability issues.

if your going from a 363mm to a 455mm inner barrel, you wont really need to change your cylender, going from 363mm to 509mm you will.

here is what i recomend parts wise,
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....ts_id=1106
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....ts_id=1604
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....cts_id=776
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....cts_id=779
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....cts_id=771
because your gun is a classic army, you cant use the kits, CA uses a slightly differnent cylinder head.

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....cts_id=867

and either
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....ts_id=2135
or
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/index....cts_id=299
depending on how long you want to go for an inner barrel

the above adds up to about 150$, its just the air compression parts, inner barrel, and a hopup rubber. you can add in a spring and spring guide for about another 30$ and you can play with your FPS. if your happy with how the internals of your gun are preforming, id suggest you just change out the barrel, it will be much cheaper.

Be aware, going from a 363mm inner barrel, to a 455mm or 509mm will up your FPS. going from a 6.05 to a 6.01 will also up your FPS. so changing out the inner barrel, you will likely need to change your spring if your already near the 400 FPS mark.

RE: Upgrade and install Help
This information is very helpful and of course I will be looking into all possibles. I was wondering if I am able to get the parts if I would be able to have someone assist me in installing the parts and show me the interior of my gun so I can understand the gun better?
