it also makes a backup profile of your settings, just revert.

I don't think they released an updated version for the new patch, it's probably best not to use it until they do.

RE: BF3 Release
I think the issues are unrelated, just convient timing.

The issue I was having (and I think I have corrected) was the game would load, but as soon as it finished loading the game would crash to desktop (while still running, go figure that one out) and a message would say the that GPU Kernel had crashed and then recovered.

I think I have fixed it but if anyone has any thoughts, I would be greatful.

Oddly enough, piles of errors involving the GPU is from the nvidia HD sound drivers conflicting with realtech drivers. Search of "BF3 gpu kernal" yeilds quite a few people with multiple sound drivers loaded and for some reason it errors the GPU.

It shouldnt be the GPU, as the 560 with your system is fine. Are your visual settings auto? Sometimes auto puts the textures at high and can crash the vram. Manually setting it to high or medium fixes GPU crashing for lots of people.

RE: BF3 Release
Ya its set to Auto. I was able to get into a game breifly last night but my mouse batteries died on me just as I got in and spawned.

I will try switching it to high when I get off work and see if that makes an improvement.

I have had a few issues with this card since I got it (including in just regular windows). Like I moved an exporler window around and it started making lines everywhere. A restart quickly fixed it though.

Artifacts can be a sign of real problems. There are some utilities out there that can check your vram for issues.

Is your 560 the OC version?

I also noticed that Nvidia vs realtek problem with them being on the same channel, and fixed it as per the suggestions.
