RE: BF3 Release
Turns out BF3 doesn't like IE 7 or 8, finally got it fixed, and got IE 9 as a bonus.

Can you believe the first 5 techs didn't try installing or asking what browser I was using? I was under the assumption IE 7 was ok, since when I first got the game it worked.

Conclusion: get any CPU or Game support to call you on the phone, those people that work on the online chat suck, big time. They don't even know what they are talking about. One person asked if my PC met requirements, right after I just explained how I had played when I first got it Dodgy

RE: BF3 Release
Finally bought BF3 and holy hell is the single player horrible. I can't think of a worse single player experience ever that I have encountered. All this after EA said BF3 single player and multiplayer are both equally important to developers and must stand on their own merits.

Was also unsure if I wanted to waste money on BF3 after the spyware fiasco with BF2142 that crippled your systems defences so hackers, torjans, and all other malcontents on the internet. My brother ended up getting BF3 for an employee discount because an old highschool friend was a manager at EB Games so I guess its not like I bought it myself.

RE: BF3 Release
I can only play BF3 multiplayer for so long at a time before I get frustrated with my inept team, then I have to quit and do something else. Soflam + capture/defend flags = win, but no one cares, they just want to run and gun until we get slaughtered by the other team. My neighbours probably think I'm a psychopath because every time I die I'm like "!@#%ING $!#% SUCKERS, BURN IN !#%$".

*sigh* But it's still fun, and addictive...

RE: BF3 Release
I'm told its a LOT better when playing with friends; even one or two. You can play as a mini team and actually get some things done.

I find that to be very true with ARMA 2. I can't stand playing it alone but when playing it with at least one friend in a Skype call at the same time its so much better.

Definitely a lot more fun playing with friends. Tongue

And yes, the single player kind of sucked. Didn't have high hopes for it ever since they announced it.

RE: BF3 Release
I once heard someone describe the single player as a tutorial for the multiplayer, which frankly it does that pretty well (except for jets and helicopters; god only know how many times a crashed my heli into a light post.)

I can certainly say that playing with Scott and our other buddies make the game so much more fun. I'm sure he can attest for my shitty heli flying. I've gotten better though!

Added you.
Drach and I play all the time. You wont want to be on the other team as me tho Smile
Teamwork via VOIP makes the game completely different. Dracheous and I are like a wreckingball when we join servers.
