FROZEN SNIPER 2

Sniper team vs. Sniper team (if more then 10 players show, well setup a roaming force)

Sniper Teams (Sniper team will consist of);
- A Sniper and Spotter, (Snipers may use a AEG, due to the cold.)
- Each sniper will have a Death Card on them, when shot they will wait and count 40 seconds (allowing Death Card to be retrieved) then will respawn 150 meters away.
Goal for snipers is to hold on to all 4 of your death cards.

- Any kit load out welcome,
- When shot wait / count 40 seconds (allowing Death Card if have any to be retrieved) then will respawn 150 meters away.
Goal to obtain as may cards as possible as a team effort; Tally will be taken end game for the winner.

Players provide their own winter camo,
Rentals and some BBs will be available game day.

Staging area will be heated with coffee and hot chocolate for players.

I'd be up for this. Would need a ride that is coming back same day since I don't do winter camping anymore.

I think even I want to get in on this one! Same boat as Karl though unless I secure a winter vehicle between now and then .

Actually I'd enjoy the winter camping, I just know that I'd NEVER be able to find my winter camping gear at the moment, SO much stuff in storage .

I'd definitely like to, especially if I can borrow a springer (or actually afford one by then, lol). I've yet to put my winter whites to work

I'm so in on this. Can't wait!

My garage will be cleaned out and heated, for the staging area and for people to crash.
If Kim will allow it I may allow people to crash in the spare bedroom and living room.

Would definitely be interested, especially if my L96 is done.

Oh, and only if its only -15'C or warmer. I just don't find freezing my butt off for a game to be enjoyable. I played with Hazard, Chef, and Leal once at the Foxden in -36'C and it was a nightmare. Even games at -20'C are too cold to be enjoyable.

For those unfamiliar with winter games:
-batteries die a lot faster and sometimes wont even turn the gun over. NiCd are better than NiMh and anything lithium is fine. Mini batteries usually don't work at all, stick to medium or large packs.
-dress in layers, have a good base layer
-cold = brittle, things can break including metal. Mechboxes can crack fairly easily in the cold, especially ver.2's, especially 400fps ver.2's
-hopup rubbers get hard (that sounds so wrong...) and can cause really weird ballistics. Shooting high is the most common symptom since the hard rubber essentially causes extra hop.
-don't even bother bringing gas guns unless they are CO2

Its actually not much warmer in here than it is in Arnold's Garage ((least warm as it was when I was there to drop off the ELCAN to him.))
